I loved this book. I couldn't put it down and I hated for it to end. Lili writes from the heart and her book is so inspiring. What a great wisdom she had as a small child. She used the tools known now as "the secret" for survival. Her book is heartwarming, sad, funny, happy. It takes you through all of the emotions. The end of the book is mind blowing. I have never read or heard of anything like it.

What a book! This 2nd book of Lili's life in Haiti as a young girl will fill you with awe that her spirit was not completely broken by the ordeals she was forced to endure. That one so young could remain happy, cheerful, and forgiving puts us all to shame when we complain about the merest inconvenience to ourselves. You will absolutely fall in love with Lili, and add her to your list of most-favorite authors.

Words cannot really describe how great this book is. Lili is a sensational writer who appeals to all of ones' emotions. She really had the gift for survival, a gift that some of us are trying to learn. We could all learn from the actions of Tilou.
